Danish Ministry of Health Session: Digitization of healtcare in Denmark: New initiatives for more patient involvement and integration between sectors
The Danish Ministry of Health and Regional Denmark will host a special event about the Danish experience of implementing eHealth and present new strategic initiatives on a national scale. In international comparison, Denmark is among the world leaders regarding the use of health-IT and data both in hospitals and in primary care. To maintain this position, Denmark is now ready to take the next big step for digitization in healthcare with a strong focus on empowering patients to become better involved in their own treatment - improving patient flows across sectors and making better use of health data for decision-making, for example medicine handling.
